You have many options to go to your destination in Rotterdam. You can move yourself around in the city by using the public transport or by taking a taxi.

When you arrive at the airport of Rotterdam you can go to the centre by several ways - There is an Airport Shuttle that leaves every 10 minutes between the central station and the airport of Rotterdam. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes and a ticket will cost you €2.70. You can buy your tickets in the airport hall or inside the bus at the bus driver.
- At the exit of the airport you will find a taxi stop where you can take a taxi to your apartment. We recommend that you reserve a taxi 24 hours in advance.
Bus When you have to travel a short distance it´s a good idea to take the bus. There are two different types of buses, one that rides inside the city and another that will take you outside the city to the smaller towns nearby. Also there is a fast bus that rides only in big cities and makes a very few stops.
If you want to travel by bus you have to buy a ´strippenkaart´ which is a ticket that you can only use for the busses.

Metro & Tram A fast way to move around in the city centre of Rotterdam is by metro or tram. The RET service takes care of the tram and metro network system.
The metros and trams ride every day from 06.00 in the morning till 24.00 in the evening. Tickets for the metro and tram are available at the post offices, tobacco shops, train stations and in the metro or tram.

Taxi If you want to travel around by taxi we recommend that you reserve a taxi at a local taxi company, or you can get a taxi at the taxi stops in the city. The price that you will have to pay for a taxi ride depends on the region and distance and sometimes it´s possible to negotiate about the price. Traveling by train is a fast, comfortable and cheap way to travel to other cities in Holland or to visit other parts of Rotterdam. You can take the intercity train which mostly stops in the big cities or the stop train that will take you to the smaller parts of a city.
