For your shopping in Barcelona, you are in the perfect place! From your Barcelona apartment, you can go walking to Paseo de Gracia. This street is well-known, apart from its exclusive boutiques, for being the must see of Barcelona modernism. In this avenue, you really have to visit Casa Batlló (Paseo de Gracia, 43) and La Pedrera, (Paseo de Gracia, 92).
When you go up Passeig de Gracia, you will find Avenida Diagonal, big avenue with more shops from big firms.
When you walk Paseo de Gracia down, you will get to to “Plaza Cataluña”, considered the centre of the city. In this square you will find three shopping malls, where to find everything you wish for and the newest trends: El Corte Inglés, in the side of Paseo de Gracia, El Triangle and Sfera, located at the latter side of the square. There is also a big FNAC store, to buy books and DVD’s.
To carry on shopping, take “Avda. Porta del Angel”, the car-free street going down in Plaza Cataluña. This street is loads with clothing shops and shoe shops. Continuing that street down, you will find another “El Corte Inglés” shopping center and a Decathlon center. Take into account that this street is close to the famous Ramblas in Barcelona, where you can enjoy the street jugglers and have a tapa and a drink whilst your shopping. Actually to have a drink, we advice you to go opposite Ramblas, towards Via Layetana, there are many bistros, at more reasonable prices.
For shoes, we advise you go toPelai, from Plaza Catalunya. This avenue is also not far from the Barcelona apartments rental.
